Slotiva is an appointment and booking platform that connects businesses — including sports facilities, hair salons, beauty salons, dental clinics, and other service providers — with their customers through a mobile application (iOS & Android), available at slotiva.io. The platform serves businesses globally, with a primary focus on Bosnia and Herzegovina, the European Union, and the United States.

2. Data We Collect

Account data (required at registration):

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Password (stored as a one-way hash — never in plain text)

Service usage data:

  • Booking history (court, date, time, duration, price)
  • Preferred app language

Technical data (automatic):

  • Device type and operating system (for correct app rendering)
  • Session token stored locally on your device (to keep you logged in)

We do not collect location, contacts, microphone, camera, or any other sensitive device data.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively for:

  • Account management — sign-in, sign-out, profile updates
  • Court reservations — creating, viewing and managing your bookings
  • Communication — booking confirmations, schedule changes, and important service updates
  • Marketing (opt-in only) — promotional offers, discounts and news, only if you have given explicit consent
  • Service improvement — anonymous aggregated analytics to improve the app experience

We do not sell your data to third parties and do not use it for advertising on external platforms.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or a jurisdiction with similar data protection laws, we process your data based on the following legal grounds:

  • Contractual necessity: processing required to provide the booking service
  • Legitimate interests: improving the service and ensuring security
  • Legal obligation: compliance with applicable laws
  • Consent: for marketing communications, where you have given explicit consent

5. Data Sharing

We share data only with essential technical service providers:

  • Supabase Inc. — database and authentication infrastructure. Data is stored on servers in the European Union.
  • Expo (Expo Technology Inc.) — mobile app distribution platform.

All providers are bound by data processing agreements and may not use your data for their own purposes.

6. Data Retention

  • Account data — retained while your account is active
  • Booking history — retained for 3 years for record-keeping purposes
  • Deleted accounts — all personal data is permanently erased within 30 days of account deletion

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you
  • Rectification — update inaccurate data directly in the app
  • Erasure — permanently delete your account and all associated data directly in the app (Profile → Danger Zone → Delete my account)
  • Portability — request an export of your data in a readable format
  • Objection — opt out of marketing communications at any time

8. Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time inside the app: Profile → Danger Zone → Delete my account.

Deleting your account permanently removes your name, email address, phone number, booking history, and all other data associated with your account. This action cannot be undone.

9. Security

  • Passwords are never stored in plain text (bcrypt hashing)
  • All communication is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Database access is restricted to authorised personnel only
  • Row Level Security (RLS) ensures each user can only access their own data

10. Children's Privacy

Our app is not intended for persons under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe your child has provided us with personal data, contact us at contact@slotiva.io and we will delete it promptly.

11. Local Storage

The mobile app uses local device storage solely for:

  • Keeping your session active (so you don't have to log in each time)
  • Remembering your selected app language

We do not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics tools that profile your behaviour.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For significant changes, we will notify you by email or via an in-app notification. The date of the last update is always shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
